The A6VM axial piston variable displacement motor is a high-performance hydraulic motor developed by Bosch Rexroth. Designed for static hydraulic drive systems in engineering vehicles and industrial applications, it adapts to varying demands for high-speed operation and torque by adjusting displacement. This motor typically features multiple control modes, including DA control and rotational speed hydraulic control.

HD control: pilot hydraulic control.

HA control: High pressure automatic control.

MO control: torque control.

High power density and compact structure: Because it can realize a wide range of stepless speed change, the huge gear box can be eliminated in the transmission system, making the equipment structure more compact.

High-pressure and high-performance: The new model can operate at pressures up to 45MPa, significantly improving the efficiency of the entire drive system.

Thanks to these features, A6VM motors are widely used in various mechanical and industrial fields, though they have some drawbacks. As high-speed motors, their internal structures typically lack built-in normally closed brakes. For braking functionality, external solutions such as gear reducers with integrated brakes or compatible valve blocks must be employed. The motor's performance is highly dependent on the matching system design. For instance, insufficient backpressure in the system return oil may lead to inadequate lubrication under specific conditions (e.g., during braking), resulting in abnormal noises or damage.
