The A10VSO pump operates based on the axial piston principle. Piston rods reciprocate within the cylinder block. By altering the angle of the swashplate, the piston stroke is modified, thereby changing the pump's displacement. When the swashplate angle is zero, the pump displacement is zero. As the swashplate angle increases, the piston stroke lengthens, resulting in higher pump displacement. During operation, the drive shaft rotates the cylinder block, causing the pistons to reciprocate within the cylinder bore holes, completing the oil suction and discharge cycles.
