What are the precautions for hydraulic motor installation?

The hydraulic motor, as one of the actuators of the hydraulic system, is particularly important in practical use. But what should we pay attention to in the installation process?


1. Hydraulic motor chain drive and sufficient rigidity


Hydraulic motor chain drive: motor leakage tube should be smooth, generally not connected to the back pressure. When the leakage tube is too long or because of the need to connect the back pressure, its size should not exceed the permissible value of the low pressure seal. External oil leaks should ensure that the motor housing is filled with oil and prevent the oil in the housing from flowing back into the oil tank when the engine is stopped. For motors with long downtime, they should not be run directly at full load and should idle for a period of time before normal use.


The motor frame should be mounted with sufficient rigidity: the motor's bracket and base must have sufficient rigidity to withstand the reaction force of the motor's output torque. Insufficient rigidity of the installed motor frame will cause vibration or deformation, or even accidents, and cannot ensure that the concentricity of the drive and motor shaft connection is controlled within 0.1mm.


2. The hydraulic motor of the hydraulic reducer motor and gear box should not be used in conjunction


One of the characteristics of hydraulic transmission is a large power-to-weight ratio, in general, the hydraulic motor circuit itself can complete the usual speed regulation, variable speed function. If the hydraulic speed reduction motor and gearbox are used together, the characteristics of hydraulic control will be lost, while the volume and cost of the equipment will also increase significantly.


The outlet of the hydraulic motor should be returned to the oil tank separately. Although the general concept all return oil pressure is not high, but many hydraulic systems return oil or a certain pressure, and the discharge chamber of the hydraulic motor does not allow pressure. The outlet of the hydraulic motor is internally connected to the casing cavity, and the shaft seal of the motor shaft only acts as a seal and is not subject to pressure. If this outlet is connected to other return lines, it can easily cause damage to the motor shaft seal and oil leakage. Therefore, do not allow the hydraulic reducer motor oil leakage port and other oil return pipeline connection.


3. The hydraulic motor should not enter the air


When the hydraulic system initially works, the system will inevitably contain air in the pipeline. An important part of the system commissioning is to discharge the air in the system, which is particularly important for the hydraulic motor. The hydraulic medium has a sudden change from high to low pressure in the motor, a process that occurs at a high frequency, on average around 10 times per revolution. When the hydraulic fluid entering the motor contains air, it can produce local cavitation during sudden pressure changes and quickly damage the motor.
