A11VO pump

The A11VO pump is a Bosch Rexroth open-loop swashplate-type variable-displacement axial piston pump developed specifically for mobile construction machinery. Designed for high-flow, high-pressure, and heavy-duty applications, it supports through-shaft series drive and is a mainstream model for main pumps in medium- to heavy-duty construction machinery.

First, Operating Principle

The engine drives the drive shaft and the cylinder block to rotate; the pistons inside the cylinder block rotate with it and perform reciprocating motion driven by the swashplate angle. By changing the swashplate angle, the piston stroke can be adjusted, enabling stepless displacement regulation and continuous variation in output flow rate.

The housing is equipped with two drain ports to discharge internal leakage fluid and dissipate heat.

Second, Common Control Modes

1. LR Power Control (Constant Power): Displacement automatically decreases as pressure rises to limit input power and protect the engine; most commonly used in excavators.

2. DR Pressure Control: Constant pressure control maintains the system pressure at a set value.

3. DRS / LRDS: Dual-function constant power + pressure cut-off, providing overload protection.

4. HD Hydraulic Control: External pilot pressure controls the swashplate angle, allowing remote flow adjustment.

5. EP Electro-Proportional Control: Electrical signals proportionally adjust displacement, suitable for electronically controlled construction machinery.

4. A11VLO impeller-fed oil supply resolves issues of insufficient suction and cavitation during high-altitude installation and at high speeds.

5. SAE-standard flanges, oil ports, and splined shafts provide industry-standard interfaces with excellent interchangeability.

Fifth, Key Operation and Maintenance Points

1. The recommended hydraulic fluid cleanliness level is ISO 18/15; otherwise, wear on the distribution plate and pistons is highly likely.

2. Drain line resistance must be minimal, and the drain port must not be connected to the pressure line.

3. For high-displacement A11VO models, prioritize the A11VLO version when conditions permit to reduce the risk of cavitation.

4. Replace hydraulic fluid and filter elements regularly; the standard interval is 1,000-2,000 hours.
