The excavator hydraulic pump is the core component of the excavator hydraulic system.
First, effect
It converts the mechanical energy output from the engine into hydraulic energy to power various movements of the excavator, such as the extension and contraction of the boom, stick, bucket, and slewing action.
Second, Type
1. Gear pump: simple structure, low cost, but relatively small pressure and flow, suitable for small excavators or occasions with low requirements for hydraulic system.
2. Piston pump: It can provide high pressure and accurate flow control, and is widely used in medium and large excavators. It has the advantages of high efficiency and reliable work, but the manufacturing accuracy requirements are high, and the price is relatively expensive.
3. Vane pump: between gear pump and piston pump, it has the characteristics of small size and uniform flow, and is also used in some specific types of excavators.
Third. Common faults and causes
1. Insufficient pressure: It may be due to internal wear and tear of the pump, leakage caused by damaged seals, or air mixed in the hydraulic oil.
2. Insufficient flow rate: The reason may be that the speed of the pump is too low, the internal parts are damaged, the suction line is blocked, etc.
3. Abnormal noise: usually caused by wear and tear of parts, loosening, entering foreign objects or contamination of hydraulic oil, etc.
4. Overheating: It may be due to excessive load on the pump, poor heat dissipation, inappropriate viscosity of the oil, etc.
Fourth, maintenance
1. Change the hydraulic oil regularly to keep the oil clean and prevent impurities from entering the pump and damaging the parts.
2. Inspect connecting lines and fittings to ensure there are no loosening and leakage.
3. Pay attention to the working status of the pump, such as pressure, flow, temperature and noise, etc., and deal with abnormalities in time.
4. Inspect and maintain the pump according to the specified maintenance interval, including cleaning the filter, checking the seals, etc.
Elephant Fluid Power has been engaged in the hydraulic business since the beginning of the 20th century. It has a history of nearly 2o years and has always been upholding the principles of “quality first” “credit first” and “zero complaints”, and has become a new leader in the hydraulic industry.
