The K5V series, manufactured by Kawasaki Precision Machinery, is a high-pressure, variable-displacement axial piston pump designed for heavy-duty machinery like excavators. As the successor to the classic K3V series, the K5V pump delivers higher power, greater durability, and enhanced intelligence.

Excavators: These are standard or optional configurations for Kobelco SK200/SK350 and Hyundai R220/R290 series, providing power for digging, turning, and moving.

Other equipment: Also suitable for heavy-duty mobile machinery requiring efficient and reliable hydraulic power sources, such as large forklifts and port gantry cranes.

Enhanced Power Output: By optimizing internal flow channels and friction pair design, the K5V series achieves a significant increase in displacement while maintaining the same installation dimensions and regulator interface as the K3V series. This allows the host designer to deliver more powerful hydraulic power without altering the layout, making it an ideal choice for equipment upgrades.

Enhanced durability: Designed for heavy-duty equipment requiring continuous high-load operation, the K5V series features comprehensive reinforcement of critical load-bearing components like spindle bearings. This design significantly extends the pump's service life and impact resistance, ensuring stable performance even under maximum torque conditions while effectively reducing lifecycle operational and maintenance costs.

Enhanced Flexibility: The DTP (Dual Pump) models in the series feature a highly integrated compact design for instant whole-machine installation. Their modular structure enables easy addition of auxiliary pumps, providing independent oil sources for various auxiliary functions (e.g., fan cooling, pilot control), significantly improving system layout flexibility.

The K5V pump has certain limitations. Its intermediate component (made of spheroid cast iron) may develop cracks during operation, representing a common failure mode in this series. In tandem dual-pump configurations (e.g., K5V80), the rear pump often exhibits excessive internal leakage, resulting in inconsistent output between the front and rear pumps.
